NATURE AND SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
The Computation Directorate offers continuing students (undergraduate and graduate) and recent graduates within one year of graduation, the opportunity to engage in practical business experience to further their educational goals. Under close supervision, provide entry to mid-level administrative support to the Computation Associate Directors Office (ADO) as well as the Department/Divisions and assisting other areas as needed.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AT THE UNDERGRADUATE 707.1 LEVEL (NON-EXEMPT)
- With guidance represent the Department/Division’s management staff in daily matters which could include gathering, clarifying and disseminating information.
- With assistance manage calendars and schedules for the Department/Division staff; determining priorities and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- With guidance compose correspondence for staff as well as prepare, type, edit, format, and finalize presentation materials.
- Screen telephone calls and with assistance making appropriate referrals.
- Help plan, organize, and coordinate meetings, visits, training sessions, and workshops, with multiple components involving internal and external participants.
- Assist with arranging travel and complete expense reports in a timely manner tracking the reimbursements.
- Provide assistance to the LTRAIN coordinator, which may include running reports as needed.
- Assist administrative staff with various projects and activities.
- Participate in identifying and resolving administrative and procedural issues to improve workflow systems and ensure product quality.
- Establish and maintain working files.
- Review and prioritize and sort mail.
- Assist with arranging travel and complete expense reports in a timely manner tracking the reimbursements.
- Perform all assignments in accordance with ES&H, Security, and business practice
requirements and policies.
IN ADDITION AT THE GRADUATE 707.2 (NON-EXEMP) AND RECENT GRAD 712.0 LEVEL (EXEMPT):
- Under limited direction and supervision will assist in various administrative functions supporting the Computation Directorate.
- Perform administrative tasks that entail a basic degree of complexity.

QUALIFICATIONS
AT THE UNDERGRADUATE 707.1 LEVEL (NON-EXEMPT):
- Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Ability to apply basic business approaches to problem-solving (plan, analyze and execute)
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Ability to present and communicate concepts and ideas.
- Experience working with personal computers and familiarity with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
IN ADDITION AT THE GRADUATE 707.2 RECENT GRAD (NON-EXEMPT) AND RECENT GRAD 712.0 LEVEL (EXEMPT):
- Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing a graduate degree or recent bachelors or master’s level graduate within one year.
- Demonstrated academic achievement.
- Experience providing administrative support in a fast pace environment.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
